Intersection Artist

Bridgette Alston is a spoken word artist and poet who uses storytelling as a vessel for healing, connection, and truth.

Though she's only been performing poetry for just one year, she has already made a powerful impact through my work—from selling out her own show in 2025 to receiving a poetry award from a prestigious hospital system in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was also nominated for the Poetry In Motion award for 2025 Queen City Awards.

Her poetry explores themes of resilience, self-discovery, and community, drawing from lived experience and transforming vulnerability into strength. She approaches her craft with deep intention, creating performances that not only tell her story but invite others to see themselves within it.

Spoken Word / Poetry

"Resurrection" is a powerful spoken word performance that explores what it means to rise after being broken—to rebuild yourself piece by piece when the world tries to silence you. Through raw emotion, vivid storytelling, and rhythm that breathes life into every line, Bridgette takes the audience on a journey of rebirth, healing, and self-discovery. This piece is more than a poem; it’s a testimony of survival, faith, and reclaiming one’s power.

Resurrection reminds audiences that even from ashes, we can rise  again and again.
